The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine DLC release window is Q2 and there is no official confirmation of a release day just yet. However, recently a report claimed that The Witcher 3 DLC will release on June 7. The rumor was based on a listing on GRYOnline.
However, the report has been denied by a GRYOnline rep who revealed that June 7 release date was a place holder.
I work at GRYOnline.pl, the website that supposedly “leaked” the date. Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you. The date that we set indeed was a placeholder date, because all the official information point to Q2. The 7th of June was just an estimated date. The way our date system is constructed, we have no option to set a more general date like Q2.
There is no confirmation yet as to when The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will be released. We’re really sorry for the misunderstanding, the date is now completely hidden on the game’s Encyclopedic entry.
The first moment someone found the date on our website, we corrected it (meaning, we set it as hidden) and we posted the info online in many places (altogether with the Witcher reddit where it all started) that this was just a placeholder date.
Unfortunately, nobody contacted us to confirm that info before writing about this any further, so it’s sometimes out of our reach to stop the spread of that supposed leak that is NOT in any way confirmed.
Just like all the fans of the Witcher around the world, we are eagerly waiting for any confirmed release date.
CD Projekt RED will reveal The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine release date in the coming weeks. For more on The Witcher 3, stay-tuned!
