Destiny 2 PC beta will start later this month and gamers are excited to try it out. Bungie has already revealed the system requirements for the PC beta of Destiny 2 and they are surprisingly low. Now, the devs have detailed the content that players will have access to in Destiny 2 PC beta.
In its weekly update, Bungie has detailed the content that PC players will be enjoying in the upcoming beta. Destiny 2 PC beta will include the starting homecoming mission, the Inverted Spire Strike, and the Countdown and Control multiplayer modes, which were featured in the console beta.
However, Destiny 2 PC beta will also test a new map which will be replacing the Midtown map included in the console beta. PC players will get to play countdown on Javelin-4 map. As for The Farm, Bungie is yet to confirm if PC players will get to see it, even in the console beta it was only available briefly.
Bungie has also detailed its goals behind the PC beta of the upcoming game. According to the devs, they want to “test the functionality for Destiny 2 on a new platform, give PC players their first taste of Destiny 2 in action, and leave a world of surprises in store for the final version of the game.”
Bungie has also confirmed that the protagonist in the upcoming Destiny sequel will remain silent throughout the game just like in the first game.
Furthermore, the studio hopes that players will complain about how many stories they have baked into the game.
We’re learning from and listening to all the feedback we got on Destiny 1, and we’re applying it. I hope people complain about how much story we have. That’d be the Reddit thread I’d like to read. ‘Too much damn story [makes angry typing gesture].
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
