We now have a new video outlining the differences between EA Sports FIFA 16 and the upcoming FIFA 17.
EA Sports has already confirmed that FIFA 17 is being developed using the FrostBite Engine which is responsible for its enhanced visual fidelity. The earlier iterations were developed using EA’s Ignite Engine.
FIFA 16 vs. FIFA 17 – Visual Comparison Video
As evident from the video – attached above – the FrostBite Engine does produce better lightning and more detailed player faces as compared to FIFA 16. However, one important thing that we have yet to see is how FrostBite Engine will impact the overall gameplay.
In addition to this, the game’s Senior Producer Nick Channon has also confirmed that the upcoming football game will run at native 1080p and at silky smooth 60 Frames per Second on both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
We currently do not have any concrete details regarding the resolution and Frames per Second on last generation of consoles. EA Canada, however, has confirmed that it is determined to keep both consoles on same resolution and FPS.
Aside from being developed using FrostBite Engine, another major addition in the game is the inclusion of a singleplayer career mode called The Journey. This mode puts players in the shoes of Alex Hunter and follows his journey as he moves from being a rookie to a superstar.
During the course of Hunter’s journey, his performance and choices made during the playthrough dictate the course of the game. This is obviously expected since The Journey is being developed by Mass Effect developers BioWare.
EA Sports FIFA 17 is scheduled to release on Sept. 27, 2016 in North America and on Sept. 29, 2016 worldwide for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
