Watch Dogs 2 Drone Races Guide
In our Watch Dogs 2 Drone Races Guide, we have explained everything you need to know about playing and winning Drone Races in Watch Dogs 2.
Watch Dogs 2 Drone Races – How to Start
Once you are done with the game’s first Main Operation, you need to head over to the backside garden of DedSec’s Mission Dolores Park Hackerspace to come across a guy named Mark.
After you are done speaking with him, you should be able to head over to one of ten Drone Races spots scattered around the in-game world to start. It goes without saying that you need to have a Quadcopter in order to participate in these Drone Races.
Before starting a Drone Race, you can check your smartphone to learn more about things like difficulty, rewards, completion time, etc. As mentioned earlier, you should try and constantly upgrade your Quadcopter to increase your chances of winning more races.
Since these races are excellent for earning some extra cash on the side and more ‘Followers’ you should definitely take them seriously.
Watch Dogs 2 Drone Races Tips and Strategies
There is a total of 10 Drones Races that you can participate in. All of these races feature different pathways, but the idea behind all of them is essentially the same. In this section, I have provided some tips to help you get better with Drone Races and score more wins.
Purchase Speed Boost
One of the most important upgrades that you need to buy for your Quadcopter is to get the Speed Boost. However, once you have acquired it, try to use it sparingly. This upgrade can get you through checkpoints in a straight line in a matter of seconds.
Preplanning
As a general rule of thumb, you need to have at least 2-3 of upcoming checkpoints in your sights. Doing this should provide you with a good idea of when to use the boost when to slow down, when to expect a turn etc. Moreover, it would also allow you to adjust the height of your Quadcopter and rush to the finish line without crashing.
Don’t Rush
You need to avoid rushing in and trying to complete a race as soon as possible. As much as good of an upgrade the Speed Boost is, you need to avoid overusing it and take things a little slow sometimes. As mentioned earlier, you need to have at least 2-3 upcoming waypoints in your sights and plan things accordingly.
Trying to rush through the entire race can cause you to miss waypoints or even crash which is not something you want to do if you are aiming for the Golden Medal. Play it safe and play it smart – this is what you need to do to win Drone Races.
