The release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End may have had some delays but it seems that the planned April release is hopefully safe. This doesn’t stop Naughty Dog making some statements that make us fear the worst at times.
This is exactly what happened when Lead Programmer for the game Christian Gyrling tweeted about a bug he apparently found in the game:
Not many weeks left until we ship #Uncharted4 and I just found one of those ‘How did this ever work?’-bugs. #justintime

It’s amazing the kind of bugs you find near ship. Job system bugs, loading bugs and animation bugs. #shippinggames #fixingbugs

Obviously if this was anything that actually caused problems with the release of the game he’d not talk about it on Social Media like this. If anything he’s just showing the stressful nature of development, especially when a deadline is fast approaching and problems are found.
With many games releasing with bugs and game breaking problems it is nice to see a company like Naughty Dog are working hard to make sure that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End arrives in the best condition possible on release. After such a big wait for what could be the final Uncharted game (at least featuring Nathan Drake) the last thing Naughty Dog and Sony want is an damaged game releasing.
While we may not like the delays, at least we know that the game will hopefully live up to the hype. The question is will it be the greatest Uncharted game, and a fitting goodbye to one of the PlayStation 4’s most iconic characters?
