The Witcher Series Sales Are Now Over 33 Million, PC Version Is The Best-Selling

The Witcher 3 is one of the best games of this generation and it comes as no surprise that the Witcher series sales have surpassed 33 million copies and not only that the PC version of the games is the highest selling one.

CD Projekt Red revealed in its latest financial report for 2017 that The Witcher series sales have surpassed 33 million units worldwide and of the three platforms, the PC version is the best selling one

This is interesting as the PS4 version of The Witcher 3 outsold the PC version by a mile at launch, however, the PC version has more than made up for it.

Also, the PC version of The Witcher 3 doesn’t have any Denuvo DRM integrated into it which shows that when done right piracy can be stopped without the use of any DRM.

CD Projekt Red is currently working on Cyberpunk 2077 and according to the studio, Cyberpunk is the new Witcher 3. The studio added that the game is even more ambitious than The Witcher 3.

Also, a report suggests that there will be a Cyberpunk 2077 Social Hub that will essentially be a bridge between the game’s single-player and multiplayer experiences.

Along with Cyberpunk 2077, developer CD Projekt Red is also working GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. GWENT has been very popular among the community but, the developers did not anticipate that this mini-game would be so popular among the players.

We wanted to make a fun mini-game that players would enjoy in between saving the world in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. That was the plan when we were creating GWENT. And then it turned out players were actually spending a whole lot of time playing GWENT, much more than we anticipated.

The Witcher 3 is a third-person action-adventure game developed by CD Projekt Red for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
