The Witcher 3 Patch 1.07 went live last week to bring a long list of adjustments, fixes and changes to the game, but it looks like some new bugs have sprouted from it.
According to complaints that have been made on Reddit as well as the official forums of CD Projekt Red, there is a bug in the game’s animations that does not let the player complete the final fight of Skellige’s Most Wanted Quest.
This 1.07 bug makes it so the final (or near final) fight can’t end. Seems like an animation bug to me. Remember to make a save before accepting the quest or you might be stuck in it.
This is the fight with the werewolf that you take part in; apparently if simply doesn’t die even if you have taken away its health. Ultimately what happens is that the wolf wanders off and the animation keep repeating itself.
Here’s what happened to another player when he attempted Skellige’s Most Wanted quest in The Witcher 3:
Just installed the 1.07 update, clearing my missions before going into the isles of mists and the last part of most wanted I take the wolfs health down he then mopes off to under the ledge and repeats the same animation, uninstall DLC and redo done [sic] to no avail can only think its the update hope it and several broken quests get fixed soon.
Now we have picked up word that the problem was originally persistent on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One as well as PC version but it appears the PC version just received a quick fix for it.
There is no word on the console versions of The Witcher 3, but since the problem started after patch 1.07, CD Projekt Red should working on it in order to avoid a backlash.
