Tekken 7 Feng Strategy Guide
Playing as Feng
Feng in Tekken 7 has one of the strongest low attacks in the game. These low attacks crush high and allow him to keep pressure with a i10 CH attack that has a damaging follow-up. He has a low executed from a sidestep that lets him start a combo. He can also close in the gap using his qcf that also has different follow-up mid and low attacks. This makes him an incredible space-control character.
Moreover, it is difficult to pressure him because of his backward stance, an auto-parry stance, and the i10 CH move. He has good pokes but lacks when it comes to whiff punishing attacks. As a primary punishing tool, I recommend using the 1, 4. If you wish to start playing as Feng, try to take advantage of his stances.
Coming to his combo potential, Feng’s combo are incredibly easy to execute. As a beginner combo, I recommend u/f+4, d/f + 1, d/f + 1, d/b + 1, 4 Screw! 3 ~ 4, 4. If you want increased damage, you can replace the last 3 ~ 4, 4 with f + 3, 4. It should allow you land follow-up mix-ups. If you manage to carry your opponent to the ground, you can try the simple f + 2, 1, 2. Alternatively, you can go for 1, 3, b + 1 + 2. However, do note that the combo will not connect under all circumstances.
Overall, Feng in Tekken 7 has high damage output, is hard to pressure, incredible low attacks, and decent space-control. On the other hand, his combo damage leaves much to be desired and lacks when it comes to good punishing attacks.
