Tekken 7 Alisa Strategy Guide
Playing as Alisa
Alisa Bosconovitch first appeared in Tekken 6 and immediately cemented herself as a character with one of the strongest poking game in the series. Thanks to an array of long-ranged low/mid poke options, she excels at slowly whittling away her opponent’s lifebar. A few other standout features of her kit include a brilliant sidestep animation, a simple yet powerful homing attack in 4, and a homing launcher in i1,3 CH.
Like Dragunov’s WR + 2 and Lars’ WR + 3; her WR + 2 is incredibly powerful, allows her to quickly close in on the distance, and leaves her at a favorable position if her opponent blocks decides to block it. However, since it is a high, you must be extra careful with it and not spam unless you are mixing it up with her powerful mid attacks. While her combos deal a decent amount of damage, good Alisa players such as Japan’s AO like to play a slow, methodical game.
Like Marshall Law, Leo, Paul Phoenix, Jack-7, etc., Alisa has a standard d/f + 2 launcher. As for her Screw!, you can use the 4 input. If you need a simple BnB combo, try d/f + 2, 4, Screw! Boot, 1, 2, 1, 4. Remember that in order to activate the Boot stance, press f + 3 + 4. In case you need a slightly advanced version of the combo, try d/f + 2, d/f + 1, 1, f + 2, d + 4, 1 + 2, Screw!, d + 3, Dual Boot, 1. It is important to note that the d + 3 should automatically activate the Dual Boot stance.
If you manage to get your opponent at a wall, try 1, 2, 1 + 2 or f, f + 4, 3, 4 ~ 1 + 2. When near a wall, her chainsaw becomes an major threat, therefore, try to capitalize on it! The second wall combo should allow you to automatically activate the chainsaw after 1 + 2 and put you at an advantageous position.
Overall, she is a beginner-friendly character with plenty of poking options, a safe launcher, strong punishing moves, and a couple of strong homing attacks. Her combo potential is definitely there but it is not her main strength. If you are looking to learn her, try to learn and play a slow-paced game.
