Take-Two is Working on a “Groundbreaking New IP,” Won’t Appear At E3 2018

The creator of Red Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, Take-Two, is working on something new. During a recent investor’s meeting, Take-Two confirmed that it is working on a “groundbreaking new IP.” What this new IP is and when Take-Two is going to show it is anyone’s guess.

President Karl Slatoff discussed the company’s commitment to delivering quality content to its consumers. He stated that the company is in a better position than ever to deliver amazing entertainment products; one of these products is a “groundbreaking new IP.”

We have a strong development pipeline across our labels, which includes new releases from our popular series along with groundbreaking new IP. With our unwavering commitment to delivering the highest quality entertainment experiences that keep our audiences engaged Take-Two is better positioned than ever to provide value to our customers and to generate growth and profits over the long-term.

Reading too much into this some may think Take-Two might show the new IP at E3 this year. However, the company made it clear that nothing new is being shown at E3 2018. This not only kills the hopes of seeing a new IP but those hoping to see Bully 2 will also be disappointed. It also means no Borderlands 3, which has been confirmed.

Still, the company will has a presence at E3 2018 but only with a corporate show floor booth.  Here is the complete schedule for E3 2018 and while what’s being shown is kept under wraps, Sony’s full E3 2018 lineup was leaked earlier and does feature Red Dead Redemption 2.
