In this SWTOR Jedi Sentinel Build guide, I’ll be covering the specializations of the Jedi Sentinel, focusing on the three specializations, the builds, and rotations.

SWTOR Jedi Sentinel Build

The Utilities are divided into three tiers namely Skillful, Masterful, and Heroic. You will have a total of 9 utility points to allocate to the best of your knowledge. We will be seeing what abilities you can use in each tier to get the best Commando on the field.

There’s no certain order to the Jedi Sentinel build; it’s something you can toy around with and see what suits your playstyle, however we will be recommending you some of the skills we think stand out amongst the other.


Defensive Roll – Reduce AoE damage taken by 30% as well as internal and elemental damage taken by 3%. This is definitely one of the abilities that you need to have by your side in order to be more evasive during combat. Your enemies won’t know what hit them.

Stoic – Reduce all damage taken by 2%, and build 2 Centering when you take damage. Effect cannot occur more than once every 1.5 seconds. This ability is definitely more useful out of the lot.

Incisor – Force Leap and Zealous Leap snare the target, reducing their movement speed by 50% for 6 seconds. A useful ability for fighting against enemy players in PvP, helps you close the distance between that annoying ranged guy.


Watchguard – Reduce Pacify’s cooldown by 15 seconds and increase range to 10m, also reduce the cooldown of Force Kick by 2 seconds. You can also activate Rebuke while you are stunned. Combine this with the Zealous Judgement and you are in business in PvP. The ability is really great for PvE too if you want to interrupt your enemies.

Force Fade – Increase movement speed by 15%, increase movement speed bonus of Force Camouflage by 20%. Take added mobility whenever you can, it really helps.

Reining Reach – Increase Leg Slash range to 10 meters and reduce Focus cost to 1, also immobilize your target for 3 seconds. Rendering your target immobile can be done every 3 seconds and is pretty good for PvP, since you can just pin down someone and deal a burst of damage.


Fleetfooted – Purge movement impairing effects when Transcendence is applied. Also increase movement speed boost by 30%. Definitely pick this.

Zealous Ward – Saber Ward gives you immunity to stuns and incapacitating effects for 6 seconds, while giving you healing for 3% of your maximum health when attacked. Useful for PvP, timing this correctly can completely ruin someone’s combo. Use Fleetfooted if necessary to remove any negative effects.

Inspired Focus – Generate 12 Focus and heal for 1% of your maximum health when you use a Focus ability. Pretty good for PvE and PvP both
