Marvel’s Spider-Man was a masterstroke in comic inspired games. Insomniac Games really raised the bar for all superhero games to come. And to celebrate its first anniversary, Insomniac Games might be releasing a Game of the Year Version.
This speculation arose from an Amazon listing. The listing on Amazon barely says anything except saying that signifying that it’s a new retail version of the game.The listing says

Game of the Year
We imagine that it will have The City That Never Sleeps DLC even though there is no mention of it on the listing. There is no release date or cover art as of yet.
Marvel’s Spider-Man and its DLC combined take up a massive 70GB, so Gamespot speculates that the DLC would be available as a download code rather than being on the disc.
The City That Never Sleeps was released as three parts post-launch: The Heist, Turf Wars, and Silver Linings, all of which were bundled together in a season pass. The game has received numerous updates and free costumes since launch, but it’s unclear if this Game of the Year edition will be the same version currently available or whether it will carry some of these updates.
Each of the parts of the DLC focus on different villains and have different story arcs. Ultimately, however, the plots form one storyline that feel seemingly influence the almost confirmed sequel.
Marvel’s Spider-Man was a huge sales success and it makes sense to release a Game of the Year version. This revelation comes at the heels of the announcement that Insomniac Games has joined Sony as an exclusive studio.
Considering the damage that Spiderman being an exclusive has done to other consoles, we can only guess what trouble this entails for other companies.
