With the reveal of Xbox One X, many developers have announced their games for Microsoft’s most powerful console and Monolith Productions will also bring its upcoming Shadow Of War to Xbox One X. However, that is not the only thing the studio has confirmed for the game, according to devs, Shadow Of War will run at native 4K on Xbox One X.
Speaking with WCCFTech, Monolith Productions’ design director Bob Roberts confirmed that Shadow Of War will run at Native 4K on Xbox One X. As for the PS4 Pro, he revealed that the team is still optimizing the game for Sony’s console.
Furthermore, he also confirmed that HDR will not be reserved for consoles and will also be featured in the PC version of the game. While the game will run at native 4K on Xbox One X but, it will be locked at 30 FPS.
We’re not shooting for 60FPS at the time, we are trying to milk more graphics out of it and just make sure it always stays above 30 smoothly.
In related news, Monolith Productions has also revealed that players will not be able to replay failed missions in the upcoming Shadow Of War.
If the player dies during the castle siege the time will move forward, player’s allies will be captured and the enemies will grow in strength.
Shadow Of War is an open-world action adventure game in development at Monolith Productions and is scheduled to launch on October 10, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
