Let us go ahead and look at some of the different ways through which you can ensure that you will be leveling up much faster than you would go through the motions.
These tips are easy to follow and will land you instant experience so that you can measure your progress and enjoy all of the benefits of a higher level.
Explore, Explore, Explore
Looking around is a great way to get some extra experience on your hands and level up. Try to examine everything in your way if you have enough time and you will notice the massive gains in your experience over time.
Relics and monoliths can be a great way to add to your experience, as are tombs and crypts. Just remember to explore all your paths to have as many experiences as possible.
Hunting
This is something that most players do not seem to realize. You can actually get tons and tons of experience if you just kill any animal in your sight.
It is not that hard to kill animals and you should be taking shots at all animals such as Wolves, Birds, and Rabbits.
The more dangerous the animal, the higher the experience for hunting it. However, you can make plenty of experience from simply killing the easier animals as they will also reward you with a lot of experience that adds up over time.
Just make sure that you do not use too many arrows, as that can be harmful if you run into many enemies later.
Challenges
Challenges can also net you a decent amount of XP. These challenges vary in their nature and can be anything from finding treasures to destroying something.
Some challenges are very hard to complete, so make sure to prioritize challenges that revolve around finding stuff as opposed to fighting.
If you have time on your hands, then also complete the latter and level up!
Using the Right Clothes
This can actually end up having a huge impact on how much experience you earn in the long term.
Many different dresses will net you bonuses for doing certain stuff. Some of these outfits can be used to get experience gains.
The 3 outfits that you need to find are Hide Boots of Urqu (Bonus on stealth kills), Ch’amaka’s Graves (bonus on non-stealth kills), and Kantu’s Gilded Vest (Bonus on Hunting).
Try to select the one that fits best according to what you will be doing. The bonuses may seem insignificant at first, but they are exponential in the end and will get you tons and tons of rewards.
Decipher Monoliths
This is one of the best and definitely one of the most fun ways to get more XP and level up faster. In order to get to a Monolith, you will need to have proficiency in the ancient language that it is written.
Without it, you will not be able to read it and thus will have nothing but a cool-looking ancient stone pillar.
There are 3 different ancient languages in the game known as Quecha, Mam, and Yucatec. The Monolith will have one of these 3.
You can increase the level of proficiency that you have with a certain ancient language by interacting with Relics, Documents, and Murals that are scattered throughout the world of the game.
Interacting with the aforementioned pieces will increase your XP in itself, so it is one of the best ways to go about leveling yourself up as you can gain XP by interacting with the Relics and gain XP once you decipher the Monoliths.
There should be multiple ways to learn a language near the Monoliths, so look for them whenever you come across a Monolith.
Explore the location in detail so that you are able to decipher it without having to go somewhere far away to learn the language and understand what the Monolith says.
Survival Instinct can be trained to look for dialect items by unlocking the Eagle’s Sight skill, so remember that as well.
Just stay on the lookout for ancient artifacts and you will easily be able to decipher Monoliths.
Fast XP Gain
Since some of the above-mentioned methods can also be categorized as Fast XP Gain methods, so here you will have a brief description of all the possible Fast XP gaining techniques that let you level up quicker.
Hunting for Wild Animals
As described above, hunting wild animals is one of the best methods for gaining Fast XP. Start by hunting the birds and then move on towards finding and hunting rear species which drastically surges your experience points.
Finding Secrets
Keep exploring the area and eventually, you will come across many Secret Collectibles that award high XP upon discovery.
Using Lara’s Clothing
Sounds irrelevant? Lara’s clothing can help you gain higher XP by doing specific stunts that are special to that suit.
For example, if the description of a suit says ‘For silent takedown of enemies’, perform the exact action while wearing the suit and you will get higher XP than usual and hence level up faster.
