Virtual Reality is becoming a new gaming standard in the game industry, as since its launch many developers have been bringing their games to this new experience. Resident Evil 7 is also going to be available for PS VR, although it will only be a one year exclusive to it, but don’t expect the game to be running with high graphical settings.
According to s Reddit user named robjwrd, who tried out the Resident Evil 7 demo in VR, the game has been seriously downgraded for the VR to to achieve the requires FPS.
if you are planning on getting a headset to play this, just be aware how much of a serious sacrifice it is. For me personally it completely destroyed the immersion. The middle of the vision is affected the most where there is a BIG area where it’s almost impossible to make out details in the distance across a room.
However, given that it is just a demo, there might be a possibility that Resident Evil 7 will look just as good on VR as for a normal gaming setup, when the final product is released. Also the downgrade is required for the game to run smoothly on a higher resolution as VR demands it.
While the game is scheduled to launch in early 2017, Capcom has revealed the PC system requirements for Resident Evil 7. It seems that the developers are confident that they would be able to achieve their target in the revealed system requirements.
Resident Evil 7 requires a minimum of Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300 or better and Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz or AMD or better as recommended. However, Capcom has notified that these requirements could change given that the game is still in development.
Resident Evil 7 is a survival horror game in development at Capcom, and the game is expected to launch in January 2017 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 VR and PlayStation 4 PRO.
