In Remnant: From the ashes, traits are used as passive skills which can provide extra special buffs and bonuses to the players. You can unlock traits throughout the game story and unlocking secrets. The ability of a character can be increased and enhanced using these traits and spending these Trait Points, which increase the level of special skills and buffs.
Remnant: From The Ashes Traits
Each trait has its perks and enhances some specific abilities of a player like Health, Stamina, Recovery Rate, etc. There are different ways to gather Trait Points and thus upgrade your traits:
- The simple way to rank up on these traits is to kill enemies and level bosses, and when you will level up you will be granted Trait Points.
- The other way is to search for the lost items e.g. Tomb of Knowledge. This will provide players 1 Trait Point.
Vigor
Vigor is the trait that increases the health of a player. It increases the passive ability of the player both in defensive and offensive mode. Vigor is acquired at the start of the game. Here is the vigor upgrade and its effect and increase in health:

This trait is used to increase Melee damage.
Shadow Walker
This trait is used to decrease enemy awareness.
Elder Knowledge
This trait is used to experience point bonus increase.
Scavenger
This trait is used to increase the value of scrap boost.
Recovery
This trait is used to increase the value of stamina regeneration and decrease its delay.
Handling
This trait is used to decrease the gun spread and recoil.
Glutton
This trait increases the speed of using consumables.
Catalyst
This trait is used to increase the chance to proc status effects on enemies.
Executioner
This increases the critical Hit chance.
Triage
This is used for health regen effectiveness.
Kingslayer
This trait is used for critical hit damage.
Will to Live
This increases health while wounded.
Arcane Strike
This increases Mod power gained on melee hits.
Mind’s Eye
This increases the ranged damage overall.
Bark Skin
This increases the percentage of the health of the armor.
Revivalist
This increase the revive speed.
All these traits have a specific mechanism of increasing the specific ability with level. These level and percentage increases are identical for all the traits so the table of Level: Change is the same for all the traits given above.
