In case if you didn’t know, Remember Me has just been released to masses on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game is set in the futuristic world called Neo-Paris. The game has received mixed reviews ranging from average to bad.
In any case, if you have got the game on PC, there are chances that you may come across some problems like bugs, errors or crashes.
Most of these issues can be resolved by short fixes/workaround. So, if you are looking for a solution related to your problem, refer to the following troubleshooting guide.
#1 Remember ME – Game Doesn’t Work
If you are unable to launch the game properly and the menu options are not being displayed properly, you can try out the following:
- Verify the integrity of game files.
- Try restarting Steam.
- Press Alt+Tab to minimize the game and then Alt+Tab again to get back in.
- If nothing else works, you should do a fresh install.
#2 Remember Me – Missing Dll Error
If you are encountering error related to Nvidia PhysX .dll, you should try latest PhysX update. This should make the error go away. The update might be necessary for both ATI and Nvidia cards. Also make sure that you are running the latest version of GPU drivers. Drivers version 320.18 seem to be working fine with the game.
#3 Remember Me – Game Crashes Instantly
If you are getting error related to some Nvividia folder, here is a workaround that has been reported to fix the issue. Find the respective folder in your program files and move it to somewhere else, say Desktop. This should help you bypass the initial crash.
#4 Remember Me – D3D9 Issues Fix
If you are experiencing any problem related to D3D9, you can try out the following work around:
Search for the file named ExampleAdriftGfxConfig in your documents and change the reswidth and resheight to your desktop resolution.
After making the changes, save the settings and run the game again.
#5 Remember Me – 164MB Pre-Load Error Fix
If you only managed to download 164MB of data while pre-loading the game, there is a fix you can try to resolve the issue.
- Completely exit Steam.
- Navigate to your Steam installation folder (~C:\Program Files\Steam)
- Delete the ‘appcache’ folder.
- Restart your computer and attempt to launch the game through Steam.
#6 Remember Me – Menu Options Text Missing
It’s most probably related to your GPU drivers which are out-dated. Update the drivers and you should be fine.
