Before the launch of a game there are always rumors running around the internet, and the same is happening with Red Dead Redemption 2.
Recently, in fact, fans of the series have been discussing a theory which says that Red Dead Redemption 2 might be set before the events of the first chapter. Everything has begun when some people have found a document by Rockstar related to the motion capture for Dutch, one of the characters of Red Dead Redemption 1 that has died at the end of the game.
This could be a legit proof that the rumor is true, but there’s more.
After reading about the presence of this document, fans have looked for more information and they have found out that the narrator of the game’s trailer has liked a YouTube video discussing the prequel theory.
Of course we still don’t have enough elements to say that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel. Maybe Rockstar will include flashbacks, it’s possible, but we still suggest you to wait for concrete information by the development team.
However, Rockstar is working hard to make this game more than that. This is what Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games, has said in the past months:
With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world. We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open world action-adventure videogame developed by Rockstar Games for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is scheduled to release this fall.
