Here we will dissect all of the new Screenshots for the game will try to find out if these screenshots tell us anything about the game that will make us more excited about the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Following is the breakdown or dissection of the newly released Red Dead Redemption 2 screenshots that Rockstar Games released along with the announcement of the delay. We will look at them step by step for anything that Rockstar Games might have hidden in these screenshots. Let’s begin.
Let’s start with this screenshot of Red Dead Redemption 2. In this screenshot, we see game’s protagonist Morgan is dual wielding pistols and taking the danger head-on while the characters in the background are either running or being shot.
It is no secret that the game upcoming title will feature dual-wielding of single-handed weapons, however, this image of the game does give us a glimpse of the real-time destruction we will see in the game just look at the wood splinters in the air.
It seems that the game will feature a lot of destructible environments for players to wreak havoc. This particular screenshot also gives us an idea of the game’s particle effect and they look just amazing.
In the second screenshot for Red Dead Redemption 2, we see the Protagonist standing in the middle of the road facing three unknown riders. Whether these horse risers are Lawman or just some travelers is not clear. However, the way Morgan is standing in front of them, it definitely looks like a confrontation.
Also, the volumetric lighting in the scene adds much more depth to it and the shadows are also looking good.
Furthermore, this particular screenshot might also give us some details about the loadouts in Red Dead Redemption 2. In the screenshot, Morgan is holding a pistol in his hand and there is a rifle on his back.
The way Rockstar handled the weapons loadout in GTA V there is a chance that the weapons will be with the players all the time and players will have to select from the weapons wheel.
I am not saying it will be true but there is a chance we might see Morgan handling weapons like Max Payne from Max Payne 3 in which the protagonist used to hold the rifle in one hand while shooting with the pistol. However, this is just speculation. It seems that Rockstar might give us a realistic loadout system, which will definitely make things interesting.
In this screenshot, we see Morgan looking at a beautiful mountain view and is making his way down the mountain. This screenshot doesn’t give us anything other than confirming that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be one of the most beautiful looking games in this year or possibly this console generation.
In this Red Dead Redemption 2 screenshot, we see Dutch, a former associate of John Marston, riding with Morgan in a snowy terrain along with some more men. It seems that Dutch will play an important role in the game. Also, the image seems to be taken from one of the cinematics in the game.
In this screenshot, we see Morgan riding alongside a woman and there are speculations that this woman might also be a playable character in the game as we might see three playable characters in the game just like GTA V.
Also, it seems that Morgan is protecting her from something or someone or just being overly cautious. However, this screenshot doesn’t give us anything more than that.
This screenshot of Red Dead Redemption 2 also showcases the graphical capabilities of the Rockstar’s proprietary game engine with incredible particle effects and overall visuals.
It seems like Morgan is in a middle of a huge fight and the men behind him are trying to push back an attack on their house of hideout. However, this could be a stealth section of the game in which Morgan is under attack and he has to get out without being detected.
The final screenshot doesn’t give away much other than giving strang vibes that the game will feature a photo mode in some capacity as photo modes have become more and more common in video games as a photo mode was also featured in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
However, we won’t have to speculate much longer as the game will be out on October 26, 2018, for PS4 and Xbox One.
