Xbox One X is undoubtedly the most powerful console, period, with 6 TFLOPs of GPU compute that is capable of running games in native 4K. Now Microsoft has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be running at native 4K resolution on the Xbox One X.

The confirmation comes from the official Xbox France account. The Tweet in question showcases the latest trailer for the game along with confirming that Red Dead Redemption 2 is optimized at native 4K for Xbox One X along with the support for HDR.

While we are less than a month away from the game’s launch but gamers are already playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Tweets of a couple of users have popped up online revealing that they are playing Red Dead Redemption 2.

When these users were reached out they revealed that while there PlayStation Network account is set to private but it still revealed it. It is too early for the developer to send out review copies of the game.

It is most likely that people close to Rockstar developers or the developers themselves are playing the game. Not only that, this also indicates that the development of the game is now complete.

While the resolution has been confirmed but the frame rate is yet to be revealed for Red Dead Redemption 2. While Rockstar Games hasn’t officially confirmed it yet but those expecting the game to feature higher FPS on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X will be disappointed as the analysis has revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be locked at 30 FPS for the upgraded consoles.

Speaking of the Xbox One X, Microsoft has obligated the developers that if they are bringing a title to Xbox One X then they also have to release it for the base Xbox One.

While this gesture is good for the owners of the base Xbox One but this is the very thing that is stopping developers from fully utilizing the Xbox One X.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open-world action video game developed by Rockstar Games and is scheduled to launch on October 26, 2018, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
