According to a creative writer of Rockstar, Michael Unsworth, the game will consist of 23 different stories of Arthur Morgan’s gang.
Rockstar wanted to deliver the most immersive single player experience ever and it couldn’t be done without detailing every main character inside the Wild West. These stories include the well known John Marston also.
A big cast of main characters was an advantage in many ways…it gave us a broad and varied set of perspectives and personalities to draw from and helped create the story we wanted – a gang on the run that functions as its own society, but it also created a lot of complexity. We knew we needed a diverse and interesting mix of characters for Dutch’s gang and the challenge with any big ensemble cast like this is making them all stand out in some way and feel distinct from one another without descending into stereotype.
So be ready to understand how each member of Arthur Morgan’s gang got themselves involved in the outlaw lifestyle. Each story will explain these characters in-depth.
This also creates a possibility for future story DLCs as there’s a lot of broad and varied set of perspectives and personalities to draw from.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available for preload and it’s going to take very long as the game weighs around 105 GB on PlayStation 4. You better start downloading it as early as possible because it doesn’t matter if your internet is blazing fast or not as it’s slow for everyone.
