Ubisoft will soon be rounding up the second year of expansion packs with the release of Operation White Noise, the fourth and final season for Rainbow Six Siege.
For the time being, the developer has teased that the new season will feature three new Operators. This includes two South Korean Operators from the 707th Special Mission Battalion, a special forces unit nicknamed White Tiger that was formed to respond to potential terrorist threats to the 1988 Olympics, and one Polish Operator to complete the GROM lineup from Operation Blood Orchid. The community can also look forward to a new “vertigo-inducing map” set inside an observation tower in Seoul, South Korea.
Operation White Noise will be completely unveiled during the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League finals later this month on November 18 and 19. Looking back at past seasons, it is likely that more information on the new season is going to be leaked beforehand.
With Year Two coming to a close, Ubisoft has confirmed that there will indeed be a Year Three for Rainbow Six Siege but details will arrive at a later date.
“We will have more news to share on the exciting things to come in Year 3, but for now, we want to share a big thank you from the entire Rainbow Six development team,” Ubisoft stated in the announcement.
Rainbow Six Siege recently received its mid-season update, which reworked three Operators and introduced network changes to address the problem of high latency advantage. Ubisoft will probably take the opportunity of Operation White Noise to tackle other existing Operators, as well as bugs and glitches in the game.
