PUBG is making new records in terms of player engagement, however, the game hasn’t seen much improvement for past couple of months and now Brendan Greene has come forward explaining that making games is hard for small developers and PUBG players don’t realize it.
Speaking with GamesTM, he talked about the game and explained that game development is not as easy as gamers think it is especially for a small developer as they can potentially run into a problem while developing a game which they themselves can’t solve.
You know, making games is hard and the consumer doesn’t realise that. A small team [might] run into a problem they cannot solve and then they run out of money, and then like, what do you do then? So many people have such optimism when starting to make a game, but then making games is hard, so you run into an issue and you’re like fuck. You know? And it’s something you may never have thought about.
Furthermore, Brandan Greene has confirmed that both Xbox One and Xbox One X versions of the game are locked at 30 FPS.
He added that the team is still working to boost the FPS but are unable to commit to anything other than 30 FPS for both consoles.
Speaking of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Bluehole will be revealing the PUBG’s desert map gameplay at the Game Awards 2017 on Thursday, December 7.
Bluehole has confirmed that the team is working on two maps for the game and the studio has been teasing the Desert Map with screenshots.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a multiplayer survival game currently in early access for PC and will launch for Xbox One on December 12 as a preview.
