It is a known fact that Slightly Mad Studios is targeting 1080p and 60 Frames per Second for their drastically-close-to-reality racing videogame, Project CARS both on Xbox One and Playstation 4. However, whether or not the studio got any luck with their projected resolution/FPS has not been divulged until now.
While replying to fans on Eurogamer Comments Section, head of the developing studio, Ian Bell mentioned ‘both consoles’ when he talked about 1080p/60FPS. However, he seemed a little more confident about the Playstation 4 version by stating that the game is already very close to running at 1080p/60FPS on PS4.
We’re already there on PS4, so high. 🙂
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that no details regarding the Xbox One version has been provided. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Xbox One version turns out to be running at 900p or less; given its previous records.
Though I hope, Xbox One version of the game will enjoy similar fate. When talking about the PS4 version, Bell also stated that it will support all PS4 steering wheels whether be it on day one or after a patch.
We will support all PS4 wheels, Walch. Be it on release day or patch when the wheel ships.
Project CARS is slated to launch in November, 2014 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, and Steam OS.
