In Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra DLC, many new Pokémon have been added to the mix while existing Pokémon have received Galarian forms. One of the many Galarian Pokemon is Zapdos, an orange fight and attack type Pokémon.
In this guide, we will cover how you can find and catch Galarian Zapdos in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Additionally, we’ll also go over this elusive Pokemon’s abilities, along with its strengths, weaknesses, and more.
Galarian Zapdos Location
To start catching a Galarian Zapdos, you’ll first need to talk to Peony in Freezington and accept Legendary Clue 3 from her. The clue titled “The Bird Pokémon of Legend” will give you a good idea of where you can find the Pokémon.
In case you’re struggling, though, you only need to the Southern Wild Area of the Galar Region. Here, you need to make your way to the Meetup Spot and start looking for the Pokémon.
How to Catch Galarian Zapdos?
Galarian Zapdos easily get spooked and start running away once they sense your presence in Pokemon Sword and Shield. When you spot one in the Wild Area, keep chasing it down on your bike until you can catch up to it and then run into it to start a fight.
The Zapdos is fairly strong and is a Flying/Fight type Pokémon that puts up a big fight. Try to come equipped with stronger Pokéballs and Electric, Ice, and Rock Type Pokémon in your party to make quick work of this flying beast.
If you happen to accidentally kill or knock out a Galarian Zapdos, fret not as the Pokemon will respawn in the exact same area a couple of hours later in Sword and Shield.
