You might not have noticed Sony making its own version of Super Smash Bros back in 2012 with Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, a Smash-like that featured characters from some of Sony’s biggest protagonists. Now, a Playstation All Stars Battle Royale 2 might be on the horizon, if a leak is true.
Playstation All Stars Battle Royale was Sony’s attempt at making a Super Smash Bros-like game back in 2012. Despite getting fairly positive reviews and selling over a million copies, there was doubt that a sequel would ever be made, even when the original game featured Nathan Drake, Parappa, Fat Princess, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, and Isaac Clarke.
There’s no confirmation about what the roster might be in Playstation All Stars Battle Royale 2 (if it even exists), but the same leak that told us about it has also brought up a number of supposed roster inclusions.
These include Kratos, Parappa, Crash Bandicoot, Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn, Morgana from Persona 5, and Noctis from Final Fantasy 15. There would likely be more if the game is confirmed, both in returning characters from the previous game and more new ones from various other Playstation games that have come out in the past five years like characters from the Yakuza series, Klonoa, or Dante.
Of course, once again, that all depends on whether or not the game is actually coming. Leaks have been wrong before, and we’d likely have seen a trailer by now if we really were getting a game like Playstation All Stars battle Royale 2. All the same they might have just had the date wrong, but we’ll have to see if something like it gets announced at some other time during the event.
Either way, just keep an eye out on the Paris Games Week to see if any other cool games are announced there.
