PC is Very Important to Take-Two, Says Take-Two CEO, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC?

In a recent earnings call, Take Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has shared that he and the company believe that PC is a very important platform.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been the center of attention lately, with the recent trailer rolling out as well as various details emerging as each day passes, unfortunately, among those details there is nothing related to its PC version.

But still, there is hope for PC users.

In a recent earnings call, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has shared how important PC is to them as a platform. According to Zelnick, PC is a “very, very important” platform for them.

This small statement seems to have increased the hopes among the PC users that the publishers might bring Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC sometime after the game releases on consoles this October.

He mentioned the vitality of PC and how PC is an important platform in terms of generating business for Take-Two.

I would observe that the PC platform has become a very, very important part of what we do, driven by digital distribution. And that was not the case for so-called ‘console’ titles 10 years ago. And it is the case now.

This he said, immediately after talking about GTA 5’s extraordinary success considering its availability on all major platforms. Finally, he said that “we will make decisions about what [platforms] to support based on our view of potential success”.

That said, Red Dead Redemption 2 is scheduled to roll out in October for Xbox One and PS4. Although for PC it has not been considered, hopefully, there might be a possibility in the future.
