We have all loved the animated shorts that Blizzard Entertainment has been releasing for Overwatch. However, we couldn’t help but notice that the quality of those short videos is so good it almost begs for an Overwatch film to be made.
Apparently, we are not the only ones who have been thinking on the same lines. A number of fans on social media are also talking about the same thing with the developers, and that is where we have picked up hint that something in that vein might actually be in the works.
What happened was that on the official Facebook page of the game, a fan complemented the Overwatch animated shorts saying that they were amazing in quality, so much so that a feature film should be made on the game.
To this, the community manager replied and his reply gave off some sort of a hint that an we might actually get an Overwatch film soon.
The only problem here is that the chat was in French meaning that we have had to rely on online translations.
What the officials said was “Alors si nous sommes obliges” followed by a wink. On an online translator this translates into “so if we are obliged.” That combined with the wink suggests something might be up. Check out the conversation below.
Of course this could mean anything, but if an Overwatch film is actually going to be released, we’d want to know about it as soon as possible. For that we will be talking to Blizzard Entertainment right now.
