Recently in an interview, Bill Rosemann revealed that they are open to ideas about a Marvel gaming universe.

Marvel has confirmed the upcoming Spiderman game for PS4 is a part of bigger and larger story and they are looking for ideas to progress that further with their own Marvel universe. Before we proceed they have also told that they are focusing on individual games only.

While discussing the Marvel gaming universe Bill said,

I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. Even in the MCU they started with individual movies.

There was. I mean, they tacked on that Nick Fury scene at the end of Iron Man but did anyone think it would culminate in The Avengers? Or now Avengers Infinity War? That was a pipe dream. The first intention was, let’s just make the best Iron Man movie. We’re approaching it the same way. This is going to be hard enough. Let’s just make the best Spider-Man game. Let’s do that. The rest will take care of itself. Who knows what the future holds? We just want to make sure each individual game is awesome, is great. Again we don’t want to trap people and contain people. We want to give them freedom.

Other than Spiderman Marvel is working with Square Enix on projects related to Avengers which is expected to arrive after Spiderman.

While the Avengers has been revealed but no other details were revealed as the game director wants everyone to focus on Spidey only for now.

Marvel has been doing this in their movies for a long time and we can’t wait to know how they will bring the same concept to their video games.

Spiderman is coming on 7 September and is exclusive to PS4.
