In the crazy world of Konami one of the few things that make some semblance of sense at the moment is Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. If you were looking for some continuation of the story, looks like you are out of luck (for now).
When asked if there would be any DLC to continue the story, Robert Allen Peeler the Community Manager got straight to the point on Twitter:
@Venom_Snakie @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN @Konami I don’t have any particular story content to announce, no

With the current state of the game, with a storyline that feels unfinished, this may be a surprise to some. With recent rumours around Konami, and the loss of Kojima, this may be a reason they are staying away from this side of the game for now. We do know that it will be getting costume DLC though. Another question Peeler was asked about was about the possibility of once again visiting Camp Omega. The answer to this is yes, but on Metal Gear Online not the main game as these tweets clarify:
@Venom_Snakie @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN @Konami its one of the mission areas in Metal Gear Online

@Saladin_Snake is this still in question? You don’t play there like in Africa/Afghanistan but events from GZ are shown in single player

So, as the world of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain becomes more restrictive and we learn more about it, are we still as impressed? I’d say in many ways, it is impressive, but the cracks are starting to show.
