Microsoft today rolled out the New Xbox One Experience, and with it made available the first batch of 104 Backward Compatibility games. Surprisingly, the list doesn’t include a single title from Rockstar Games.
So far EA, Activision, SEGA, Deep Silver, 2K, Square Enix, Ubisoft, and Bethesda, along with others have signed on board with Microsoft to allow their Xbox 360 titles to be Backward Compatible with the Xbox One. That leaves only one real big AAA publisher which has currently not agreed with the software giant.
With Rockstar Games not on board, players will be missing a number of huge titles including Bully, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, GTA San Andreas HD, and GTA IV.
It’s not clear at the moment whether Rockstar Games is not willing to make its titles compatible with Xbox One, or it’s just a matter of time.
