There is a lot of hype surrounding the Nintendo Switch hybrid console and as the release comes closer we are getting new insights into what we will be getting at launch. It seems that the Nintendo Switch JoyCons have a 525mAH lithium ion battery. With this in mind, the question that pops up is will games like ARMS drain the Nintendo Switch JoyCons battery faster?
The Nintendo Switch JoyCons battery lasts about 20 hours and it takes 3.5 to charge them. Not that it is an issue as the console continues to charge the Nintendo Switch JoyCons while they are connected. They can also be charged using a charging grip but you will have to buy that separately as the one included in the box does not have the Nintendo Switch JoyCon charging feature.
Nintendo Switch JoyCons use 26.26 mAh /hour according to numbers from the official Nintendo site. It will be interesting to see whether or not some titles drain the Nintendo Switch JoyCons battery faster than other titles do. Nintendo talked about how the battery life of the console itself will depend on the game being played so it would not be a surprise if the same thing was true for the Nintendo Switch JoyCons as well.
It seems appropriate to assume that this will be the case when it comes to the Nintendo Switch controllers as some games will use more features than others.
Take ARMS and 1-2 Switch, for example, they will be leveraging more advanced features of the controller as compared to titles like Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The Nintendo Switch will be coming out on March 3rd, 2017 and will cost $299. Let us know what you think about the upcoming device and whether or not you feel the same way about the Nintendo Switch JoyCons battery life and performance.
