Nintendo is Working Hard to Add Value to Switch Online Service, Expect More Additions

Nintendo president, Tatsumi Kimishima says that there's more information to be revealed about the Nintendo Switch online service.

A few months back Nintendo announced their new Nintendo Switch online service for the Switch users which received a mix response from the users.

Nintendo Switch online service will include a free collection of NES games, the ability to play online like in Mario Kart 8 which is currently free to play and cloud saves. That’s not it as the Nintendo president, Tatsumi Kimishima has shared that there’s more to be revealed about the Switch online service but we will have to wait to find out.

Tatsumi Kimishima said during a recent shareholders meeting of the company that they are working hard to add value to the online service.

Kimishima said:

“Nintendo Switch Online will allow individual users to participate in competitive and cooperative online play, […] use a smart-device application in which you can meet up with your friends in the online lounge and use voice chat during online play, play their favorite NES games online, and back up their save data so they will be ready in case anything happens to it. We want to further improve the content for services, such as [Nintendo Switch Online], to make it worth paying for.”

Kimishima then went on to say that there’s more to be added but we will have to wait.

“Our aim is to provide consumers with a variety of ways to play and the ability to use the system in a more convenient way. I will have to ask for your patience until we are ready to discuss further details.”

It looks like Nintendo might be making some quick changes to the service due to the negative response. Also, He could be referring to those ten unannounced games or an addition of a browser through a software update along with themes. We are not sure but time will tell.

Nintendo Switch online service is scheduled to launch in September and you can pre-order the membership online.
