Nintendo & Adidas Joining Hands to Present Pokemon in Football Kits for 2014 FIFA World Cup

To show their support to the Japan Team in FIFA World Cup 2014, Nintendo & Adidas have partnered to present Pokemon in Japan Team's Football kits.

2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is undoubtedly one of the biggest events of this year. Millions of people from all around the world are preparing themselves to fly to Brazil from 12TH June to 13TH July to witness the history.

Since Adidas has designed Japan National Team’s kit for Rio’s 2014 World Cup, Nintendo & Adidas have partnered up to cheer Team Japan in World Cup 2014 by making several Pokémon dress up in Football shirts.

Pikachu and his friends are not new to such advertising campaigns and have appeared in several promotions for Japanese planes, curries, and trains.

As for this promotion, we have seen nothing else than a bunch of promotional images of Pikachu perfectly carrying Japan’s blue shirts. It is not known whether any such thing will be implanted within the game itself in form of Pokémon playing FIFA or something like that but, it is safe to expect branded clothes or other merchandise.

Now that the trend has kicked off, maybe we will be able to see such promotions with Mario, Zelda, etc. And despite of the fact that I’m completely ignorant to the fact how Football works, I would be interested to know which team you guys will be supporting? Comment away!
