Nintendo’s Classic Console Collection is about to expand if the reports are to be believed. A report has emerged suggesting that the Nintendo 64 Classic Edition will be revealed later this month and releases in December.
Previously, a report emerged that the N64 Classic Edition will be revealed at yesterday’s Nintendo Direct. However, that didn’t happen. Now, the rumor reveals that the classic console reveal is coming later this month.
According to the source, the N64 Classic reveal will happen later this month during the second Nintendo Direct. However, take it with a grain of salt since it is just a rumor.
Furthermore, the source has revealed the games that will come installed. There will be 30 games in total. Here is the list of games for the upcoming Nintendo 64 Classic Edition.
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Super Mario 64
- The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
- Puyo Puyo Sun 64 (But may not be on all versions, could be just JP)
- Banjo-Kazooie
- At least 25 more games.
The N64 Classic Edition comes following the success of NES and SNES classic editions. With the Nintendo 64 Classic, Nintendo will be completing its set.
Speaking of Nintendo, it latest hybrid console, Switch, is getting a lot of 3rd party support. Bethesda has brought Fallout 4, Skyrim, Doom and more to Nintendo Switch. However, Fallout 76 isn’t coming to the hybrid console.
Bethesda has explained why Fallout 76 isn’t releasing for Switch. According to Bethesda, Fallout 76 wasn’t doable on Nintendo Switch.
According to Pete Hines, “The Switch is something I can say with certainty that it’s a part of every conversation with every developer we have now about what we’re doing going forward because we consider it to be a viable platform”.
Furthermore, Red Dead Redemption 2 has just launched for the consoles. Interestingly, Nintendo is one of the banned words in the game. Yes! Rockstar has included Nintendo in the list of names that you can’t give to your horse.
Rockstar probably did to avoid any copyright issues or legal ramifications. But still, it is still suprising to see Nintendo as a banned word in RDR2. Red Dead Redemption is available for PS4 and Xbox One.
