Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was a decent entry in the trilogy kicked off by Human Revolution. The story still needs to be wrapped up but Eurogamer thinks Square Enix won’t work on the next Deus Ex game anytime soon.
According to the publication, due to the company’s shift to other projects including The Avengers, Deus Ex development is put on a hiatus. The company will push out DLC for Mankind Divided but those will focus on individual stories rather than be wrapping things up. Square Enix gave the following statement after Eurogamer published the article.
While we are still working on expanding the Deus Ex Universe, along with creating new content and updates for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, we’re also devoting our talents towards working with Crystal Dynamics and Marvel on The Avengers project
Next Deus Ex game may take a while and we may never see one. Instead, Square Enix may choose to wrap up the story via graphic novels. For now, you can play Mankind Divided and also grab the season pass with the following content.
- Two new story missions: “System Rift” and “A Criminal Past”.
- The “Assault” and “Tactical” packs, which include various weapons and items.
- Four Praxis Kits.
- 5,000 Credits.
- Five “Booster Packs” and 20 “Chipsets” for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can also grab it from PlayStation Store, Steam, Xbox Marketplace or from your nearest retailer.
