Blizzard Entertainment is gearing up to start work on a new unannounced Diablo project! They are currently looking to hire a new Art Director to lead the development.
Of course they did not clarify whether it is going to be a new Diablo game in the series or a new Diablo 3 expansion, but looking at their schedules these days I would say that another expansion is a lot more probable.
Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of the most epic games in the world, is seeking an exceptionally skilled and passionate art director to help develop Blizzard’s next hit game!
The ideal candidate possesses inspiring artistic vision, outstanding communications skills, strong leadership experience, and a proven track record of shipping AAA products in an art director role. Experience modeling and texturing assets for a diverse visual range of environments and a solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets are also essential.
They did mention “next hit game” in the listing but it is also a fact that Heroes of the Storm is new, and Overwatch is definitely the priority of Blizzard when it comes to upcoming titles. In short they have their hands full at the moment and taking on a completely new Diablo game wouldn’t really make sense.
All odds state that they are hiring for a new Diablo 3 expansion.
