News of Kano being a playable character has apparently been leaked by German Magazine GamePro. The character was also included in the 2011’s Mortal Kombat video game.
This indicates that the Developer NeatherRealm Studios is planning to add old characters along with some new ones. While new fighters are always welcome, fans will love to see the classic characters from Mortal Kombat making a come back.
Kano, leader of the Black Dragon crime cartel in 2011’s reboot of Mortal Kombat was last seen frozen by sub-zero. How his inclusion in the game will effect the story is yet to be revealed. He is a ruthless mercenary who looks to be wearing an outfit which is similar to Hsu Hao, who first appeared in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
The details and following snapshot looks to be legit. Its possible this leak is true as Gamescom is also going to take place in Germany this month. This German magazine may have leaked the news early.
Eb Boon on twitter choose not to confirm or deny this leak, which also suggests that the rumor might be true as he has been quite active recently in sharing Mortal Kombat X related news. I guess, we will have to wait for Gamescom for his full reveal. I am also hoping that they also show us some new gameplay as I have my eyes peeled on it.
Recently, in a trailer shown at EVO 2014 Raiden was also revealed to be a playable character in Mortal kombat X. Mortal kombat X is a cross-gen title which will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2015.
