Along with different Expeditions, Investigations, and Quests; Bounties are one of the main sources of you upgrading your weaponry. Bounties are generally timed-quests which often end up lasting a few days or a week. They usually have a decent amount of reward for you and their free nature allows you to tackle them whenever you want. This Monster Hunter World Bounties Guide will tell you all about how to best make use of the Bounties and what is their main purpose in the game. We will also tell you some different Tips and Tricks on how you can make sure that Bounties remain an integral part of your story without becoming a nuisance.
Monster Hunter World Bounties
Bounties are different from Investigations and Quests. Even though they offer somewhat similar rewards, Bounties usually have a much longer time for you to complete your challenge. Their rewards are usually in terms of Armor Upgrades. Bounties can give you a lot of Armor Spheres which will be used to upgrade an Armor Set.
There are three different kinds of Bounties, each of which will be explored in this guide. Remember that you will receive a notification whenever you complete a certain part of your Bounty. You can have a total of six Bounties all at one time.
Keep on checking in to the Resource Center to select which of your Bounties you want to have activated. There will be different rewards for each Bounty and it will vary depending on the difficulty level. Select the ones whose rewards you need for upgrades and then get going.
Getting Started with Bounties
Bounties can be registered and managed by the Resource Centre just like your Investigations. There are a total of three different Bounties that you may have to do. Let’s take a look at all of them!
The first one is known as Field Research. These Bounties require you to gather a certain material. This can be anything from a plant or a mushroom to honey or any other condiment. These are the most difficult Bounties, as these items can be very difficult to sometimes find.
The second one is known as Ecology Survey. This is quite easy and you will have done something akin to this the entire game. These surveys usually comprise of slaying smaller monsters. It is sort of like an Investigation but you do not have a small-time-limit to complete it. You just try to kill a number of specified monsters and then claim your rewards by heading back to Astera.
The last kind of Bounty is known as Research Progress. These are quite unique and different from the rest of the game. In order to do a Research Progress Bounty, you need to move on to a certain area of the map and once you are there, complete a specified number of quests in order to get the Bounty Reward.
The majority of the rewards will be in the form of Armor Spheres. They will be used to upgrade armor. In order to do that, you need to head on over to the workshop and use those spheres to upgrade and improve your defenses. You can also register different Bounties and delete them in the Resource Centre.
You can have up to six different Bounties started at one particular time, and the best thing is that they are always on. As long as you have a Bounty registered, you can even do its requirements during a quest and you would still complete the Bounty and reap its rewards. Keep six Bounties running at all times to ensure you are constantly trying to upgrade your Armor.
