Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is Always Online on PC

Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII is always online on Steam. Fans won't be able play it without an internet connection.

We have some bad news for PC gamers who bought Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It looks like players will have to keep the game connected all the time to play it.

Meaning no internet connection means no Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. The news came from Steam itself where the game’s listing mentioned: “Steam Cloud needs to be active in order to start this game.”

This isn’t something that’ll sit well with the community. We’ll have to wait and see if Square Enix decides to change.
