There are 60 students that you can save in Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 as long as you have the required spells. You can collect them in any order you find convenient but you do have to collect them all if you want to complete the game 100%. Student #1
You will find the student in peril behind the grate which is out of the part just before you build the bridge out of broken car. Use the dark magic to break the grate that is blocking the tunnel and student will get out.
Student #2
This student will be in Dumbledore’s Library, just get inside the Hog’s Head and use Reducto to open the padlock and go downstairs into the basement.
Student #3
Use Augmenti on fireplace when you get to the Room of Requirements and as you put the fire out student will get down from the chimney.
Student #4
Interact with the portrait in the room with the Black Family Tree which is on the left wall. Rug from the middle of the room will be removed and a silver panel will be exposed, use reducto and get down from the hole. You will see a grey wall on right side of the room, just break it and destroy the large spider behind it and you will get to the student.
Student #5
Get to the forest where a large tree trunk is blocking your way, get inside the trunk and head all the way right until you find the weasley box, just use the fireworks inside to free the student.
Student #6
In the stone room, when you are trying to save your friend you will see a student stuck under the pile of dirt on the right side of the area. Use some digging character to get him out.
Student #7
In the Weasley Wizard Wheezes get upstairs and use dark magic on the black rocket on left and get those sticky trainers from the box and walk up the wall on the right side on upper level. Get round to the left and you will see the student, use Diffindo and cut the box and get the student out.
Student #8
At the Slughorn’s Christmas party, use dark magic and open the door on the right and get out of the balcony. There will be a cabinet on the right, open it and build the bricks that will give you into a gargoyle that will flap around and rescue the student.
Student #9
Get yourself a device that puts out larger fires in the garden and use it on the barrier of fire that is on the left side of the garden. Mr. Weasley will fix the broken machine and you will see the student rescued.

Just when Malfoy is hiding in the bathroom, go back of the stalls and you will see a cart that can only be used by dark magic, move it and walk behind the stalls and you will find the student.

There will be a small area on the right of the Aragog’s body, opposite to the is also a Weasley box, open the box and use the magic on the portable swamp that comes out on the barrel and free the student.

At the Hagrid’s Hut, instead of entering in a duel with snape head backwards on the path and along the fence of Hagrid’s Garden you will see the student held by a Death Eater. Get rid of Death Eater with a spell and save the student.

At the Dursley’s house, go to the garden and on the far side of the garden there will be a shed with vines wrapped around. Remove the vines with Lumos and the student will get out.
Student #14
At the lifts, use the dark magic to break the padlock of the lift which has red and black padlock and student will be freed.
Student #15
You will find a crypt with black caged door in the graveyard, just use the dark magic to break that gate and student will be freed.

When you get out of the water just look on the right side and you will see a pad for Hermione to use her bag. This will make her pull out a large mushroom and you need to jump on it to get on the ledge above and use the dark magic on black plant to free the student.
Student #17
In the Lovegood’s Garden go to the screen and you will see a path towards the house, you will see the student at the end of this path stuck in the vines, just use Lumos to get him out.
Student #18
Student will be in the basement of Malfoy Manor strapped to a rack, use Reducto to get rid of those silver bonds and free the Hogwarts student in peril.

After reaching the vault, the student will be seen stuck in a cage on right side, just use dark magic to get him out.
Student #20
At the room of requirements, go to left and towards the screen and you will see the student hanging from the ceiling, get him down.
Student #21
When placing crystals on the bridge, stop before placing the last one and just go up the hill on the right and you will see the student trapped in a flower. Go back down the hill just behind the flower and you will see a black rock on the side of the hill, use dark magic and destroy the rock to get a small tube, use Augmenti and water the flower and it will release the student.

when you get to the row of gold suits of armor in the first area your path will be blocked, near those gold suits will be chain hanging on the right side. Hit that chain with a spell an it will release the student.

When you go to the giant with the large hoop, on the right of the screen you will see a student cowering from a bunch of Death Eaters. Get rid of those Death Eaters by a spell and free the student.
Student #24
You will get to a vault buried in the rubble, get it out and use a key character to open it. A student and a Death Eater will get out of it, get rid of Death Eater.
Student #25
Outside Borgin & Burkes, use the dark magic on the rock and under it will be a student.
Student #26
Near the code entry box on the ground floor, you will see a ladder going on the upper level. Student will be stuck in a spider web on top of the ladder, use magic to hit the ladder and free the student.
Student #27
the rob shop, where you buy the characters from, get inside and go up the stairs and use a spell on the door of the changing room, inside will be a student.
Student #28
Inside the pub, get up the stairs and instead of going through the door see above the door on the ceiling there will be a student stuck in a spider web. Get him free by hitting the spider web with a spell.

Get to the sink and use the dark magic on taps to get the Hogwarts student in peril free.
Student #30
There is a student stuck in some vines inside the tent, take the light from the lamp beside the cauldron using Ron’s deluminator and walk to the right side of the table and you will be able to send the light into the lamp beside the student and will free him.

Back of the campsite and left of the owl stand, you will see a dried plant on the floor. Bring the plant back to life by using Augmenti and student will be released.
Student #32
This student in peril will be hanging from the large station clock, you can just hit the face of the clock and he will drop down.
Student #33
In the Hogsmeade village, you will see student stuck in a big ice block at the entrance if Three Broomstick pub. Use the deluminator to lit up the lamp above the block and snow will melt and student will be released.
Student #34
In the Hogsmeade village in the winter, there will be a silver podlocked barrel on which you need to use reducto to break that podlock. After that hit the barrel with a spell and student will come out.
Student #35
Open Hermione’s bagusing the pad at the Hogsmeade station. Open the bag on the far right of the platform and this will give you a silver pig. Use reducto to break the pig and you will get a small gold piece. Place the piece in red oven and student will get out.

In the small courtyard, student will be trapped by glowing insects at the front. At the back of the area use deluminator on the lamp and get this lamp to illuminate a lamp near the student which will affect the bugs and they will release the student.

At the back of the Herbology courtyard, you will see one student throwing water on another student in the left corner. Stop the student throwing water with a spell.

In the Herbology greenhouse the student will be stuck in a plant near the front. You will see an empty box beside the plant. Use augmenti to fill it with water and throw it using magic on the plant beside the one holding the student and that plant will grow bigger and this will make the plant drop the student.

Near the water’s edge at the Lake, you will see a black plant on the right hand side. Use dark magic and get rid of the plant to free the student.
Student #40
At the Thestral enclosure, do left until you cross the water by jumping on the rocks. There you will see stairs leading to a ledge, get to the ledge and on the left you will see a tree with some vines. Use lumos and get rid of vines then use magic to get rid of tree branches and student will be inside.

In the entrance hall at the bottom of the right stairs, you can see a suit of armor. Use magic to throw the suit on the ground and the student in peril will be released.
Student #42
In the right side of the Library, use the pad to open Hermione’s bag and she will pull out small paddling pool. When you fill it with water, student will jump out from the Chandelier.
Student #43
At the grand staircase, just use Daffindo on the red padlock on the chest at the bottom of the stairs. Student will be released when you open the chest.
Student #44
Enter the Ravenclaw corridor and you will see a black barrier on the left. Use dark magic and break the barrier to free the student.
Student #45
Go to the Gryffindor corridor and use Augmenti to put out the flames in front of the fire and student will jump out.
Student #46
At the common room corridor, open the parceltongue cabinet to free the student right next to the Slytherin common room.
Student #47
At the 7th floor, on the left of the entrance to the room of requirements, student will be trapped in a spider web on the floor. Hit it with the spell to free the student.

At the great hall of entrance, use the deluminator to fire up the lamp on the left door of the hall and walk to the right side of the area and release the light on the lamp on the wall. This lamp will be beside some vines which are holding the student. Vines will disappear when lamp is lit.
Student #49
In the great hall, there is a large serving platter on the staff table. It will be rattling, so just use reducto and lid will be blown off and student will be released.
Student #50
As you go to the archway at the weasley courtyard, you will see a silver panel on the back wall. Use reducto to break that and you will be given some bricks to complete the sticky trainers wall on the left of the archway. Get the sticky trainers from the weasley box near the fountain. Walk up the wall and reach the roof and there you will see a hufflepuff banner that is folded up. When you uncurl it with a spell a student will come out.

In the weasley storage, use the dark magic on the black cabinet on the right of the room and doors will break and a student will come out.
Student #52
In the Aguamenti classroom when you are learning the spell, you can save the student by putting out the fire that surrounds him. The student will be in the left corner of the room.
Student #53
in the Diffindo classroom, there is a large crest with an H on the wall beside the fish tank. Jump on it and there will be two more crests that you can pull down. There will be Slytherin banner above the middle one, uncurl it to release a student.
Student #54
In DADA classroom, student will be hanging to the stairs that lead to the Umbridge’s office. Use the spell to knock it down.
Student #55
In the Potions classroom, walk towards the screen on the left side and you will reach the back of the room. There you will find a parceltongue cabinet, it will be already opened if you have completed your potions lessons and student inside will be stuck with a spider web, you can use the spell to free the student from the web.
Student #56
In the classroom corridor, beside the entrance to the potions classroom use the reducto on the cupboard and when the lock is broken, use magic on the cupboard and student will come out.
Student #57
At the door that leads to the Divination classroom, you will see a student in peril stuck to the wall. Use aguamenti and plant will grow and release him.
Student #58
In the divination classroom, at the edge of the room you will see stacks of cups and a water cooler on the left. Break the largest stack with the spell to release the student.
Student #59
At the back of the astronomy tower, you will see a circular area and a panel of parceltongue there. Use the panel and hatch beside it will open and release the student.
Student #60
The last student will be wrapped in a vine next to Hagrid’s hut. Use lumos and free him.
