Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild is one of the best games to launch this year and has proven quite successful for Nintendo. While the game is single-player only but, that does not mean gamers don’t want to play it with their friends and that is why a Zelda: Breath Of The Wild multiplayer mod is in the works.
The Zelda: Breath Of The Wild multiplayer mod is being developed by Fooni who posted images of the mod on their REGN8 Discord server. The mod itself, however, will only be playable on the CEMU emulator for the game since Switch and Wii U don’t allow modding.
According to the modders, Zelda: Breath Of The Wild multiplayer mod will allow two people to play locally side by side. The modders have revealed that it will probably take them almost a year to complete the mod or at least make it playable.
In related news, Breath Of The Wild launched just a few months ago and Nintendo is supporting the game with DLC, however, there is already talk of the game’s sequel. But, Nintendo has clarified that the sequel is way off.
Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma revealed that the sequel to Breath Of the Wild is far way off as the development team is still thinking about it and considering the ideas for the sequel.
We have no plans for a future Zelda, we are still far from all this unfortunately for you. Today, I’m at a stage where I’m trying to gather a number of ideas for a sequel, but I cannot do it alone. It’s a lot of work that will have to be done over a long period of time, and we’re still far from having planned anything. Leave us a little time…
