L.A Noire has been announced for Nintendo Switch and now 2K Games has revealed the game’s resolution for both docked and the handheld mode. At the time of the announcement, 2K didn’t reveal anything but, the publisher has sent out a new press-release revealing the game’s resolution for Nintendo Switch.
According to 2K, L.A Noire will run at 1080p while docked and 720p in handheld mode. The game running at 1080p on Switch is quite impressive, however, the frame rate for both Switch modes are yet to be revealed. Also, in the press release 2K has revealed that the game will launch on December 7 in Japan.
Speaking of game resolution on Nintendo Switch, Bethesda has also revealed Doom’s resolution on Switch for both docked and the handheld mode. According to Bethesda, the game will run at 720p on both modes and will run at 30 FPS on Nintendo witch and according to Bethesda, the 30 FPS lock will ensure a smoother experience.
The game and rendering technology underlying Doom is extremely scalable. In bringing Doom to Switch, we targeted outstanding visuals at a solid 30 FPS and by maintaining a consistent 30 FPS, the experience remains consistently fluid and smooth. We’ve been thrilled with the feedback that Doom is among the very best looking and performing games on Switch.
Also, Doom might not be the only Bethesda title coming to Switch as Shinji Mikami has noted that he would love to bring Evil Within 2 to Switch. While it is not a confirmation but, it is an interesting concept since Bethesda’s other titles such as Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will also be coming to Switch.
L.A Noire is a detective action-adventure game and is scheduled to launch on November 14, 2017, for Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
