Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a first-person open-world title that will take you to the 15th Century’s Central Europe. It was a time of great conflict in the Czech Republic as the 15th century saw the death of Charles IV and a civil war afterward due to his two sons claiming the throne.
Warhorse was searching for interesting parts of Czech history when they came across Bohemian Wars. Speaking in an interview, social media manager Jiri Rydl explained how they learned about this in school but never paid much attention at the time. While studying more about it, the concept intrigued the studio to make a game based on this civil war.
Warhorse wants to tell the story from Henry’s perspective, who is an average blacksmith and wants to avenge the murder of his entire family.
The game features three acts that take us through the protagonist’s quest for revenge during the civil war. Warhorse wants to portray the struggles of a common person during the Bohemian Wars. Rydl cites: “after playing all three parts you can understand the reasons why people wanted to change the way they lived, the way they pray or you find out who will be the king.”
You can play those three sections of the game in any sequence but completing all three is expected to take you around 60 to 70 hours.
Moreover, similar to other RGP’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance will offer you a number of choices while approaching a situation or quest. Your skills will further develop as you train and different skills will help you out during certain situations.
In-game decisions/choices will be final and you won’t be allowed to repeat any of it. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is expected to hit all major platforms later this year.
