The launch of Horizon Zero Dawn is just around the corner and critics are loving this game. While Sony Interactive Entertainment has already said that they want the game’s protagonist, Aloy, to be the next PlayStation icon, it seems that she might not come back for Horizon Zero Dawn sequel.

Speaking with Gamereactor, Guerrilla Games’ senior producer Angela Gillespie said that there are other characters in the game that can potentially take the lead role in Horizon Zero Dawn Sequel.
I think Aloy will always be a part of Horizon: Zero Dawn, but as you might have seen, there is a big number of characters and tribes in the game, and we have a rich history,” Gillespie told us.
We spent years developing these tribes, so there is a possibility for other characters in the future, but Aloy will always remain in Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Horizon Zero Dawn already has an impressive weather system but recently the studio revealed that the weather system for the game featured random lightning strikes but it was excluded as the devs felt it was unfair.
We had some prototypes, for example, we had some lightning strikes that would randomly hit enemies or randomly hit the player. But it just felt unfair because you have no control over it, it just naturally happens and suddenly you have a lot of damage. So we took that out in the end.
According to game director Mathijs de Jonge, the weather system in Horizon Zero Dawn is more about the atmosphere rather than the random events killing the player.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open-world action adventure game developed by Guerrilla Games and is scheduled to launch on February 28, 2017, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
