When we talk about screenplay, Hideo Kojima’s name is bound to come up. His games have the best screenplay in the gaming industry and we are expecting Death Stranding screenplay to be on par with Kojima’s previous games.

According to a recent tweet from Hideo Kojima himself, he is currently busy working on the screenplay for Death Stranding. The game is well under development but screenplay changes and additions are made along the way.

The game’s motion capture is also underway, it would add to the realism of Death Stranding. The game will be a more realistic experience as the studio was able to capture and recreate Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen’s performances digitally.

Death Stranding is Hideo Kojima’s first game after his departure from Konami. The game is being published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

No release date has been announced for Death Stranding, but Hideo Kojima has hinted that the game will launch in 2018 exclusively for PlayStation 4. Kojima spoke at TGS 2016 and announced that Death Stranding will be out before 2020. He mentioned that it will be out before the year Akira is set in. Akira is a film that is set in 2019 so by that reasoning, Death Stranding should be released in 2018.

There is a theory going around that Death Stranding is actually Silent Hills in disguise.
