Halo Infinite To Adopt Games As Service Model? Job Listings Suggest

Although fans of Halo have been very much keen to hear something interesting about Halo Infinite, not much has been revealed by Microsoft regarding the game. Although now a new job listing has revealed that the devs have plans, to make Halo Infinite last for a long time.

As you can guess fans do not settle in with limited information, in fact, they speculate on that limited information for as long as they can. They dig out as much detail as they can and that is why they have recently, been able to spot this interesting news in a job listing.

In a job listing by 343 Industries, some details seem to have surfaced which seem to suggest that Microsoft has plans to adopt, games as a service model for this upcoming game.

The job is for an Online Experience Design Director, in which it is revealed that this game is being created with the notion of longevity in mind. It has been clearly stated that the candidate who is selected, will be overseeing a number of games as service elements.

Based on the job post, some of the elements which the successful candidate will be overseeing would include, player progression inside and outside of the game, “social and engagement features which encourage players to return again and again with their friends.”

Of course, microtransactions cannot be left out when there is a game as a service model. With all that said since this news comes from a job listing, it does have some tendency to go wrong. However, it has rarely been the case that the information deduced from such listings go wrong, still, they can be misleading.

So take this lightly just to be on the safe side. Having said that for those of you who do not know, Halo Infinite is a direct sequel to Halo 5 and is not going to be any kind of spin-off or a prequel. There were some rumors, which have now been confirmed.

Be that as it may, for those who had their bets on a Battle Royale version of the game can now sit back as that too, has been recently put to rest. There will be no Halo Infinite Battle Royale.
