Rockstar Games’ open-world title, GTA 5 has managed to sell over 2.00 million copies on Steam in less than a month, according to SteamSpy stats.
The game originally released in September 2013 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and sold around 35.00 copies worldwide. Prior to the PC release, a remastered version also appeared on Playstation 4 and Xbox One which sold over 9.00 million copies globally.
For the sake of comparison, GTA IV only managed to sell 3.5 million copies worldwide.
Another interesting thing to note here is that the earlier mentioned number does not include non-steam copies which would take the number even higher.
In related GTA 5 news, Rockstar Games recently rolled out update v.1.02 which primarily fixes issues with Rockstar Editor, Character Customization, and some minor bugs faced by a number of players. To read up the complete patch notes, you can check the official post.
