Gears Of War 4 launched earlier this month with a very good reception from both critics and players alike. However, it has not been a month since the launch and it seems that Gears Of War 5 might be announced soon.
According to Sirusgaming, they got the chance to talk to Jackie Chua, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Synergy 88 Digital at the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS), and asked her if the Synergy 88 Digital is working on a project related to Gears Of War franchise.
According to the website, she replied that “Gears 5 is around the corner….” and after a long pause and a hesitant face said that “but that’s what I’ve heard from the internet”.
Synergy 88 Digital has collaborated with The Coalition for Gears Of War 4, as they helped bringing environments of Gears of War 4 to life. Also Walter de Torres, The Coalition Director of Production also stated that, the studio looks forward to work with them on future projects.
So there is a chance that Synergy 88 Digital might be working with The Coalition on another project, which could be the Gears Of war 5. If what Chua said is true then we would be getting a first look of Gears Of War 5 pretty soon.
However, it would be too early since Gears of War 4 has just launched for PC and Xbox One.
While the reveal of Gears Of War 5 might be coming soon or not, new maps for Gears Of War 4 are set to arrive tomorrow. Players will be getting two new maps, which are new to the game but are well known for the series. The maps are Checkout and Drydock which appeared in Gears Of War 3.
