Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford Attacks Media For Pointing Out His Poor Communication Skills

Gearbox CEO is attacking the media for reporting on Borderlands 3 microtransactions. The confusion over the optic stemmed from his poor communication skills.

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford is spotted on social media attacking GameInformer for pointing out his poor communication skills. During yesterday’s Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal event, Randy took to stage and confirmed that there will be no microtransactions in Borderlands 3. Meanwhile, another producer confirmed that there indeed microtransactions in Borderlands 3.

As GameInformer reported, Borderlands 3 features paid cosmetic microtransactions. Randy took to Twitter to attack the publication for reporting on the story, calling it a “shitty clickbait.”

But the fact of the matter is, Randy’s poor communication skills are to blame here. What Randy tried to say on stage is that the game features no pay to win microtransactions. He stated that those who played Borderlands 2 will feel right at home. And what did Borderlands 2 had? Microtransactions.

Here are Randy’s poor communication skills on display

Those who are confused by his statement let us clarify the situation. Borderlands 3 does have microtransactions. However, Gearbox will only sell cosmetic items. There are no loot boxes and no way to buy weapons and gear with real life money.
